VOYAGER (The Albatross)
CHOREOGRAPHER: William Sevone (WM '71) (May 15th 2002) Fremantle, Australia
email: williamsevone@yahoo.com.au
COUNT: 32
TYPE: 2 Wall Line Dance
LEVEL: Advanced Beginner
MUSIC: Albatross by Fleetwood Mac-70 bpm ('The Pious Bird Of Good Omen'/'Greatest Hits')
Choreographer's note: This takes second place in my 'all time favourite' Fleetwood Mac pieces of
music. I have heard many, many versions of this tune (including a very acceptable, but phrased all
over the place 'country' version) but none, bar none can recreate the atmosphere of the
original...it's just one of those very few pieces of music that cannot be surpassed. Because of the
number of turns employed within this dance, it will feel faster than what the music will suggest.
The Albatross for all it's great size (over three and a half metre wing span) is the most graceful
and majestic seabird of the Southern Hemisphere.
Dance starts on first full beat of music after the very short intial opening,
with feet together and weight on left
