Choreographer's note: Since 1965, when I first bought this piece of music
it has been firmly fixed within my top 20 records of all time. Since that
time it has been recorded by many people, in as many guises, including
'country'. In most cases it had to 'sanitised' for the listening/buying
'redneck' public (a bit like Pat Boone singing "Blueberry Hill"..if you
see what I mean), but I still reckon that this time around - the ORIGINAL
version is the BEST version. If this song, without instrument changes was
recorded by any of today's well known female country singer (s'pose they
could call it 'country blues' to appease certain quarters) it could no
doubt go to the top spot in the Country Charts and become another
'Country Classic'. In case you hadn't noticed, there is a message within
this message...if you care to remove the 'blinkers'...nothing like
starting a New Year with an 'old' message is there.
Choreographer's dance note: There is nothing really awkward about this
dance, lots of quite basic step movements. I have given an option for
what is a very fast one and three quarter turn (all other turns are slow
and deliberate).
Dance starts on vocals with feet slightly apart and weight on left
