CHAR-BROILED CHOREOGRAPHER: Katrina Robinson COUNT: 40 TYPE: 2 Wall Line Dance LEVEL: Intermediate MUSIC: Walking On The Sun by Smash Mouth Char-Broiled was the first place winner for original choreography in the WLDA competition held September 24-26, 1999 in Fayetteville, NC SYNCOPATED JUMPING JACKS 1 With weight balanced on both feet, jump out (feet shoulder length apart) & Bring feet back to home 2 Jump out, turning 1/4 turn right & Turning 1/4 turn left, bring feet back to home 3& Jump out, now facing original wall, bring feet back to home 4 Turning 1/4 turn to the left, jump out (left foot is in front of right, weight is balanced on both feet) BODY ROLL 5-8 Four-count body roll: Roll forward from head to shoulder to hips to knees The body roll ends with the weight on the right foot Styling: on eighth count, slap right buttock with right hand & TOE & HEEL & TOE, STEP OUT, TOUCH &1 Step left slightly forward, touch right toe behind left &2 Step back on right, touch left heel in front of right &3 Step left in place, touch right toe behind left &4 Step right out to right, touch left out to left The feet are now shoulder length apart with weight on right SYNCOPATED 4-COUNT VINE TO THE LEFT &5 Step left to the left, cross right behind left &6 Step left to the left, cross right in front of left &7 Step left to the left, cross right behind left &8 Step left to the left, touch right toe beside left Styling: on "&8", touch forefinger of right hand to tongue and touch it to right buttock, giving it a "sizzling hot" effect STEP 1/4 TURN RIGHT, STEP, STEP (WALK RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT), PIVOT 1/2 TURN LEFT, KICK 1-2 Step right 1/4 turn right, step left 3-4 Step right, pivoting on right, turn 1/2 left, kicking out left Styling: on counts "1,2,3" with elbows bent at sides, shake hands, fingers pointing the floor. On count "4", make final shake out more pronounced. Look like you're trying to air-dry your hands WALK BACKWARD LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT, TOUCH 5-6 Step left back, step right back 7-8 Step left back, touch right next to left (weight is now on left) Styling: while walking back, snap fingers and swing hips right-left-right-left STEP TOUCH, STEP TOUCH 1-2 Step right to right side, touch left toe next to right 3-4 Step left to left side, step right next to left (weight is now on left) Styling: instead of simply touching the toe, drag it to place, making it a step slide HIP SWINGS 5-6 Push hips (moving body down) left, right 7-8 (Moving body up) left, right Make it fluent, and bend knees for styling. Should achieve a snake-like effect. End with weight on left RAISE THE ROOF; SYNCOPATED ROCK STEPS 1& Rock forward on right, step back on left 2& Rock back on right, step forward on left 3& Rock forward on right, step back on left 4 Touch back on right (weight is on left) While rocking, arms are up in front, bent at elbows, palms facing ceiling.
